This 2024, AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) is amplifying its cold storage footprint by building a more comprehensive network of facilities within various regions in the country.

The trusted industrial real estate company is further expanding its portfolio of cold storage facilities with the completion of ALogis Artico Santo Tomas in Batangas and ALogis Artico Mabalacat in Pampanga by the first half of 2024. Both facilities will add 10,000 pallet positions to ALLHC’s cold storage portfolio. By full development, ALogis Artico will have over 20,000 pallet positions in its portfolio collectively.

Compared to the three cold store facilities under ALogis Artico’s current portfolio (ie. ALogis Artico Biñan 1 and 2 in Laguna and ALogis Artico Mandaue in Cebu), which were acquired existing facilities, both the Santo Tomas and Mabalacat facilities were specifically constructed to address the specific demands for more temperature-controlled facilities within the Southern and Central Luzon regions.

Moreover, ALLHC will augment its growth with the groundbreaking and construction of one more cold storage facility in Luzon and two more in VisMin within the year.

ALogis Artico Santo Tomas

Located within Light Industry & Science Park III in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, adjacent to ALLHC’s ALogis Santo Tomas site, the soon-to-launch cold storage facility, which will run on renewable energy, features 5,000 pallet positions and 16 cold rooms with temperatures ranging from 10°C to -25°C.

Easily accessible, ALogis Artico Santo Tomas is situated just 2.5 km from Sto. Tomas Exit of South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) when traveling from Manila. Additionally, the strategic location places the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR Tollway) a mere 3 minutes away from the facility and the Batangas Port just within an hour’s drive.

The Batangas-based cold facility is set for completion by Q1 2024.

ALogis Artico Mabalacat

Meanwhile, ALogis Artico Mabalacat will be located within Pampanga Technopark, ALLHC’s 290-hectare master-planned industrial township development. The soon-to-launch cold storage facility features 5,000 pallet positions and 19 cold rooms with temperatures ranging from 10°C to -25°C.

Facilitating ease of access, ALogis Artico Mabalacat is seamlessly connected through major thoroughfares, including the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), and MacArthur Highway. Plus, the impending North-South Commuter Railway project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) further underscores the city’s economic advancement, with plans to link the existing Tutuban Station to Clark.

Moreover, the facility’s strategic proximity to vital infrastructure such as Clark International Airport (20-30 mins) and the Subic Bay International Terminal (1 hour) positions ALogis Artico Mabalacat as a key player in facilitating efficient logistics and trade in the region.

The Pampanga-based cold storage facility is set for completion by Q2 2024.

Aiming to cater to diverse sectors, the intended and expected clientele spans the frozen meat, seafood, chemical industries, and similar sectors.

Mr. Robert S. Lao, ALLHC President & CEO, shares, “Over the years, we noticed a growing demand for more temperature-controlled facilities in the Southern and Central Luzon regions. When we studied the market, we found an opportunity to help address issues of food safety and security by building cold storage facilities in Santo Tomas, Batangas and Mabalacat, Pampanga. Our overarching goal is to actively support the country’s promising cold chain sector and advance its supply chain logistics. In light of this, we envision ALogis Artico Santo Tomas and Mabalacat, along with the facilities in our existing portfolio and those in our current planning, as integral components within the supply chains of future tenants.
