Located in Barangays Moog and Tubajon in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, the Laguindingan Technopark—AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC)’s first Mindanao-based industrial park—welcomed a new locator: Asiaphil Inc.

Founded in 1973, and originally known as Asiaphil Manufacturing Industries, Inc., the firm currently has over 25 domestic locations around the Philippines and 5 overseas locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, Hongkong, Singapore, and Italy. Its facility in Laguindingan Technopark marks the company’s first manufacturing site within the country’s Mindanao region. Committed to providing world-class power connection solutions to customers, Asiaphil Inc. envisions building a comprehensive infrastructure within the property, including a metal fabrication and painting factory, a staging area for substation construction, and a transformer oil testing center.

Asiaphil’s President, Victor T. Batungbacal, states, “Asiaphil is committed to delivering a pleasant experience to our diverse stakeholders, and proximity to our Mindanao customers is crucial to fulfilling this commitment. Our expansion into Laguindingan Technopark is a strategic move, since it offers the ideal environment for our company’s growth and innovation. We are thankful for our collaboration with ALLHC, which ensured our seamless integration into the industrial park. We look forward to contributing to the success of Laguindingan Technopark as we work further along.

ALLHC President and CEO Robert S. Lao emphasizes, “Our heartfelt gratitude to Asiaphil for choosing Laguindingan Technopark as an integral base for their expanding operations, a decision that not only enhances their growth but significantly drives economic activity in the region. Together, we foster a partnership for progress, contributing to the creation of more employment opportunities and business synergies in Northern Mindanao. Indeed, we, at ALLHC, eagerly look forward to continuing to serve and support Asiaphil in the years to come.

A look at ALLHC’s Laguindingan Technopark

Launched in 2019, the Laguindingan Technopark stands as ALLHC’s inaugural industrial park in Mindanao, and is seamlessly integrated into Ayala Land’s master-planned mixed-use development, Habini Bay. Encompassing a sprawling 105 hectares, with Phase 1 covering 62 hectares and holding BOI registration, it is designed to cater to light and medium, non-polluting industries. It boasts complete land development, including road networks that were completed in 2023. Positioned strategically behind the Laguindingan Airport and approximately 36 km from the Cagayan de Oro Port, the Technopark enhances its appeal through accessibility from Cagayan de Oro City, the regional center, via the Butuan-Cagayan de Oro-Iligan Road.

The Laguindingan Technopark is one of ALLHC’s distinguished industrial parks across the country. ALLHC’s portfolio includes Laguna Technopark (Binan and Santa Rosa, Laguna), Cavite Technopark (Naic, Cavite), Pampanga Technopark (Mabalacat, Pampanga), and Batangas Technopark (Padre Garcia, Batangas). Each one shares a commitment to providing dynamic spaces for light and medium industries. Overall, ALLHC’s vision is to foster economic growth, drive innovation, and create sustainable opportunities for businesses in the Philippines.
