The country’s leading industrial park and real estate logistics operator, AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) steps forward, responsibly taking proactive measures in addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concerns for its stakeholders towards the upliftment of people and communities.

Upholding Ayala Land’s commitment to sustainability, ALLHC concretizes its ESG initiatives through ACT or the “ALLHC Cares for Tomorrow” program. ACT consists of small acts for the common good towards creating a better environment for its employees, partners, and communities. ALLHC enjoins its stakeholders to #ACTnow for the future.

In October, ALLHC piloted its ACT program by supporting the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela campaign. ALLHC extended assistance to pupils of Dungan Elementary School in Mabalacat, Pampanga wherein over 460 Kinder to Grade 6 pupils were provided basic school necessities and hygiene kits to equip them for their face-to-face classes this school year.

“ACT or ALLHC Cares for Tomorrow is our way of showing we care for our future. As we launch this program, we deepen our commitment towards environmental protection, social engagement, and good governance. Aligned with our culture of integrity and malasakit, our mission is to contribute to society by providing a positive impact and doing the right thing for the greater good of next generations,” shares ALLHC Chief Operating Officer Mr. Patrick C. Avila.

ALLHC believes that by preserving and enriching our resources, both environmental and human, together, we can sustain our future. Here are other ways where ALLHC shows small acts that make a difference tomorrow.

Social Engagement

ALLHC’s community of partners and stakeholders share the same outlook – to enable more Filipinos to partake in the benefits of economic growth and social progress. The company takes pride in its role in local economic development across the country by spurring countryside developing and helping create jobs through its developments.

Supporting communities where it is in, ALLHC reaches out to provide assistance to the Missionaries of Charity located within the Tutuban Center complex in Tondo, Manila, and put up e-libraries in Naic, Cavite and Mabalacat, Pampanga. It supports social enterprises through the TutuBuy e-commerce site and Alagang AyalaLand Centers in Tutuban Center and South Park.

ALLHC works closely with both national and local government units. South Park Center serves as sites for Muntinlupa City’s MunCoVac, Philippine Red Cross’ RT-PCR testing, PhilSys National ID registration, and is host to multiple government agencies.

Environmental Stewardship

ALLHC is committed in supporting Ayala Land’s goal its 2030 carbon neutrality goal, and Ayala Corporation’s net zero by 2050 target. Most of ALLHC’s electricity consumption is through renewable energy sources, and plans are underway for the shifting of its remaining developments from non-renewable.

In helping mitigate climate change and risks, ALLHC practices site resilience in all its developments. Thirty percent of its industrial estates are dedicated to green and open spaces. In June, ALLHC employees planted 200 agoho, bani, and narra saplings in Cavite Technopark, helping make the property resilient to environmental stress and geohazards.

Practicing circular waste systems, ALLHC sends plastic discards to Green Antz Builders to convert plastic wastes to eco-pavers and eco-bricks used in Ayala Land projects. Moreover, ALLHC’s Tutuban Center and South Park Center will continue to conduct their Recyclables Fairs where participants can trade in their traditional recyclables and non-traditional wastes such as broken electronics and appliances.

Corporate Governance

Adhering to global standards of corporate governance, ALLHC is governed by a board of directors, and observes ethical policies and practices. It upholds compliance to good corporate government principles, and has an enterprise-wide risk management program. It has been recognized as a 1-golden arrow awardee by the Institute of Corporate Directors for the results of our ASEAN corporate governance scorecard.

Equitable practices provide a solid foundation for sustainable growth and long-term value. In shaping a sustainable future, we address the challenges today by working towards one that is shared by all. Let’s #ACTnow.
